GUISELEY play their second friendly tonight and following Saturday’s 3-1 home defeat by Huddersfield Town they will be up against another Football League outfit as Barnsley make the journey.

The Lions’ play-off hero, skipper Andy Holdsworth, left the club after leading them to promotion to take up a role with the Tykes' Academy. Former Terrier Holdsworth will be firmly in the Barnsley camp tonight but delighted to be back at Nethermoor.

Mark Bower intends to give more game time to his players tonight after most were involved in just one half against the Terriers at the weekend.

The Lions boss is working towards the start the club’s first season in the top tier of non-league soccer, the newly named Vanarama National League, three weeks on Saturday.

On a busy night of warm-up games, Guiseley’s league rivals FC Halifax Town travel to Brighouse Town while Liversedge host St John Fisher.
