GUISELEY have extended the loan of Harrogate Town defender Shane Killock for another month.

The 25-year-old former Huddersfield Town defender first played for the Lions in early November but is now eligible up to and including the game at Chorley on Saturday, February 7.

Guiseley manager Mark Bower said: "Shane is enjoying his time with us and wanted to stay. He was injured, ineligible and suspended for the Christmas and New Year matches against Harrogate Town but is available again for us on Saturday at Tamworth.

"We might now let Danny Hall go out on loan so that when we need him back, he will be match fit.

"Also we are expecting Wayne Brooksby, Ryan Toulson and Adam Boyes back from injury or suspension in the next two or three weeks but at the moment we are a bit thin on the ground and might have to name some teenagers on the bench."

The Lions, who are third in Vanarama Conference North, drew 0-0 at Harrogate on Boxing Day and won the reverse match 4-2 on New Year's Day.

"We never seem to play our full complement of four matches over Christmas and New Year," said Bower, "and we had Fylde and Worcester City postponed this time, but maybe with our suspensions and injuries that wasn't such a bad thing, and with us being out of the FA Trophy, there are plenty of slots for these matches to go into."

One knock-on effect has been that Boyes still has two games of his suspension to run but Bower added: "The fact that Alex Johnson has had more game-time has compensated for that to a degree."

The former Bantams centre half has likened Saturday's trip to Tamworth, who have 20-year-old Bradford-born former Albion Sports midfielder Kayden Jackson on their books, to facing top two Fylde or Barrow.

Bower said: "Tamworth (The Lambs) have won nine successive league games and have climbed from third from bottom to fourth, so it will be a very difficult game."

* Four Guiseley Academy players have been selected to represent the West Riding County FA over the coming weeks.

Joshua Snowden, Jonson Butterfield, Lamar Lindo, Aaron Fell have been named in the squads for the clashes with Sheffield & Hallamshire FA and North Riding County FA.

The former match is at Staveley Miners' Welfare on Saturday, with the North Riding clash at West Riding County HQ at Fleet Lane, Woodlesford on Saturday, January 17.
