MARK Bower is looking to strengthen his squad as they prepare embark on crucial run of Vanarama Conference North fixtures.

Injuries have left him short of cover and he is hoping he might have reinforcements in place for Saturday's home clash with newly-promoted Lowestoft.

His most obvious need is for cover at centre back with the experienced Danny Ellis and Danny Hall both sidelined. Their absence has resulted in midfielder Jake Lawlor deputising.

Bower said: "The injuries are disrupting two areas of the team with Jake having to move into the back four and that has forced us to change the midfield.

"With a run of two games a week coming up for the remainder of the month I am looking to bring players in.I have made a few calls and I am waiting to see what the outcome will be."

Bower is also hoping that injured leading scorer Adam Boyes will be fit to return after an ankle injury. The Lions have failed to score in their last two games, the 3-0 FA Cup loss at Grimsby and 1-0 defeat at Barrow.

"We created plenty of chances at Barrow and just needed somebody like Adam to stick one away. Hopefully we can find out goal touch again on Saturday.

"It is going to be nice being back at Nethermoor because we haven't been at home for almost a month."

Guiseley's last home match was the 3-0 FA Cup win over Halesowen Town on October 11.
