There may be no news emanating from Otley yet about who will be replacing club chairman Paul Carter or rugby chairman Gary Walker but it is very much business as usual on the pitch.

Director of rugby Tom Rock is hopeful of their SSE National League Two North trip to Bromsgrove on Sat-urday going ahead, and will travel with confidence.

He said: “We are on a win-ning streak away from home after our victory at Kendal, and I have been stressing the positives all the time since we had our draw at home to Leicester Lions almost two weeks ago.

“We had a frank and fruit-ful discussion about that result at training on the Tuesday, and we gave the squad last weekend off to do whatever they wished as we had had two hard training sessions on the Tuesday and the Thursday.”

Things are tight in Otley’s division, with only six points separating the bott-om five, and Otley are in a relegation berth in third from bottom.

But Rock travels to the Midlands in the knowledge that Bromsgrove were dis-patched 41-12 at Cross Green on October 15.

He said: “We are in a better place now than we were in September, October or November but we will have to do without Curtis Wilson on Saturday as he has glandular fever. He is being looked after by Leeds.”
