Otley prop Paul Hill is set to be fit for England's International Rugby Board's Under-20 World Championship semi-final in New Zealand on Sunday.

The Leeds Carnegie loanee left the field with an injury after 73 minutes of Tuesday's 17-16 Group B match victory against Argentina at QBE Stadium in Auckland.

However, it is not expected to keep Hill out of the match against Ireland at another QBE Stadium in North Harbour this weekend.

Hill's Leeds clubmate Jack Walker started the contest against Argentina and was replaced after 55 minutes by London Wasp Gus Jones.

Bavarian-born prop Hill first played rugby for Doncaster Knights under-sevens and went on to study English language, history and business and economics on top of his Achieving Academic and Sporting Excellence (AASE) programme at Prince Henry's Grammar School.

He has already represented England at under-16 A, under-17 and under-18 level, as well as featuring for Yorkshire under-15s and under-16s and North under-16s.

Hill, who names England prop Dan Cole as one of his favourite players, is indebted not only to Mick Lowcock at Doncaster Knights, but latterly Danny Wild (Leeds Carnegie under-15s and under-16s) and Leeds Carnegie Junior Academy coaches Andy Rock, Mark Luffman and Jon Pendlebury.
