Ten try win for Otliensians
 |

Old Otliensians 60
Stocksbridge 12
Old Otliensians took another step towards promotion with a well executed ten try victory in appaling conditions with a gale force wind blowing constantly down the pitch for the full 80 minutes.
Otliensians played against the elements in the first-half and again based their game around a strong pick and drive structure, with excellent close quarter handling movements that paid dividends after only four minutes when Duggan opened the scoring.
This was followed by John Woods who scored after the whole team had constructed a length of the field move. A simple blind side scrum five metres out yielded the next score for Nick Keinhorst, and with Foster adding the extras a 17-0 lead had been manufactured inside 15 minutes.
The next 20 minutes saw Stocksbridge coming more in to the game but resolute home defence kept them at bay before three tries were scored in the last three minutes of the half. Two for Otliensians through Foster and a second for flanker Duggan who outpaced the whole visitors' team over 60 metres for a half-time score of 29-7.
The home side took less than a minute to secure the first score of the second-half when Lee O'Donnell sprinted through for Foster to convert. Nick Keinhorst scored again on 46 minutes following another bludgeoning run from Arbuckle, before Stocksbridge were awarded a try under a pile of bodies to close the gap to 41-12.
The one-way traffic continued for the remainder of the game with tries being scored at regular intervals. A second to O'Donnell followed by Markus Keinhorst and latterly hooker Lyons, who converted.
This was another very satisfying performance, and with six league games remaining, Otliensians require a further three points to secure promotion, although with a considerably superior points difference in practice two should suffice.
