Otliensians 4 LA Carnegie 1
With promotion to the Premiership in the bag, Otliensians were relaxed as they began their last game of the season.
Fielding one player short, Otlien-sians knew they would have to push forward early on and they were immediately rewarded by an early goal from Sarina Corney.
Otliensians’ second came soon after with an individual effort from Corney, driving the ball from the halfway line but LA Carnegie pulled one back for a half-time score of 2-1.
Otliensians started strongly in the second half, an individual run from Becky Caisley ending in a controlled back-stick flick for Otliensians’ third goal.
Adel fought back but were thwarted by player of the match, goalkeeper Tracey Hellewell, as Otliensians’ de-fence survived a barrage of short corners.
However, Otliensians were soon back on the attack and their fourth goal came from an excellent feeder ball from Julia Ratahi for Hayley Robinson to cross to Claire Brook to finish off.
This win brought the end to a very satisfying season and captain Dani Cox thanked the team for their commitment and team spirit.
