GUISELEY AFC's manager Steve Kittrick looks set to make his mark on the Guiseley squad after a number of the players he inherited from previous manager Terry Dolan have not been offered contract terms for next season.
Kittrick had already started the rebuilding process in the season just ended in which Guiseley failed by one point to reach the promotion play-offs.
He brought in goalkeeper Piotr Skiba to replace Guiseley favourite Steve Dickinson and also added James Cotterill and Lee Pugh from his former club Ossett Town. He loaned out Dickinson and striker Gavin Knight.
Dickinson is understood to be signing this week for Leigh RMI who are also said to be interested in talking to the five players Kittrick has not offered contracts to.
They are Knight, central defender Simon Sturdy, midfielder Richard Dunning, defender turned striker Aron Wilford and right-back Nathan Hay.
Kittrick said: "I have offered those five players non-contract terms but none has got back to me and I believe Leigh RMI are interested in speaking to them."
Kittrick confirmed that centre-back Danny Ellis is tied to the club for next season and that he has already signed two new players with a further five considering his offer of terms.
The players who have signed are midfielder Alex Callery and centre-back Ryan Crossley.
Former Huddersfield Town trainee Crossley, 27, has joined from neighbours Farsley Celtic where he skippered the Blue Square Conference side.
He joined Celtic three years ago from Bradford Park Avenue after experience with Stevenage Borough and Wakefield-Emley.
Midfielder Callery is Sheffield born and after experience with Sheffield Wednesday he signed for Gainsborough Trinity, Ossett Town and Frickley Athletic before a second spell at Gainsborough from where he joins Guiseley.
Kittrick said that of the players he had offered terms to two were with Conference clubs and three with Conference North clubs and among them was a quality striker'.
Pre-season training starts for Guiseley players on July 1 and they already have pre-season games confirmed with Leeds United and Bradford City.
At the Guiseley club's annual dinner last Thursday at Bradford Golf Club young striker James Hanson carried off both the Manager's Player-of-the-Year and the Supporters' Player-of-the-Year awards. The Fair Play Award went to Aron Wilford.
The Manager's Player-of-the-Year for both the Reserve and Youth U-19 teams went to midfielder Johnny Douglas with the Reserves Clubman-of-the-Year being goalkeeper Scott Reid and the U-19 Clubman-of-the-Year goalkeeper Jonny Gardiner.
The Ladies' Player-of-the-Year award went to left-back Louise Batterby with the award for receiving most match points from opposition teams going to Rachel Dainty. The Club Person-of-the-Year award for the Ladies went to Sophie Nundy who as well as playing for the team acts as its treasurer.
The ladies made presentations to Rachel O'Connor and Michael Hill and their player/secretary Jenny Taylor for all their help with the team.
The Guiseley AFC Volunteer-of the-Year award went to Susan Clapham and she was presented with the award by her mother Gladys - a previous winner of the award.
Susan said that she accepted the award on behalf of all the volunteer workers within the club.
