That's the spirit as stars pass on cricket tips

England’s top women cricketers have been offering their tips to a host of youngsters after descending on Ilkley.

National vice-captain Jenny Gunn, Yorkshire pace bowler Katherine Brunt and off-spinner Danielle Hazell offered up some advice to girls from across the Wharfe Valley with two days of coaching sessions at the Ben Rhydding sports club.

And the weather held firm as the international stars passed on their advice to the girls as part of the MCC Spirit of Cricket Summer Camp, while the England men’s team were getting the best of Pakistan at Trent Bridge.

MCC head of cricket, John Stephenson, said: “Women’s cricket is becoming increasingly popular – and the England women are great role models for young girls wanting to take up the sport.”
