YORKSHIRE CCC cricketer and England U19 captain Harry Brook will be making a special guest appearance at Ilkley Grammar School on Saturday, as local kids are being offered the chance to partake in cricket training sessions there.

The classes will begin this weekend and continue every Saturday for the next five weeks, up to and including March 24. The coaching is being offered to U9s, U11s, U13s, U15s, U17s and girls across the region.

The session on February 24 will be free for all those who wish to participate, with classes costing a mere £3 each in the remaining four weeks.

U9s will be taken for training between 12:00 and 13:00; the U11 and U17 sessions will take place from 13:00 and 14:00; the U13s between 14:00 to 15:00; with the final class of the day for the U15s and the girls from 15:00 to 16:00.

Due to the the proliferation of girls playing All Stars Cricket at the club last season, and as a result of England women's success in the 2017 ICC Cricket World Cup, the female sessions are expected to be popular. They are for girls in Y8 and under.

All sessions held at the school will have equipment provided, so as long as your child is keen to play, they will form an integral part of the action.

All Stars Cricket is still available to play at the club and these sessions are open to all boys and girls between the ages of five and eight.

They will run every Tuesday from May 15 for eight consecutive weeks, and more details can be found on the England and Wales Cricket Board website.

If your child sees themselves as the next Anya Shrubsole or Joe Root, then the perfect opportunity could be right on their doorstep.
