Last weekend was doubly good for Yeadon as they recorded two wins to extend their unbeaten start to the JCT600 Bradford League Division Two season to 15 games.

Off-spinner Damon Gormley demonstrated why he is again topping the Division Two bowling averages by taking 5-31 as Yeadon dismissed Bankfoot before cruising to a seven-wicket win.

Gormley was well supported by left-arm spinner Ben Elvidge (4-33), then skipper James Todd made 40 as Yeadon eased to their target.

The outstanding individual performance of Yeadon’s weekend came from Oliver Halliday.

He hit a magnificent 134 not out as the leaders defeated Windhill by 158-runs on Sunday. Halliday hammered nine sixes and ten fours as he shared in a fourth-wicket stand of 135 with Ben Elvidge (60).

Mahmood Rasool took 4-38 and Nick Hudson (3-9) as Windhill were dismissed for 97 in reply to Yeadon’s.255-5.
