Yeadon go into Saturday’s top of Division Two home clash with Gomersal full of confidence.

New skipper James Todd saw his side extend their winning start to the season to three games with a nine-wicket win over Idle last Saturday.

And for good measure they followed up with a four-wicket win over Spen Victoria in the Sovereign Health Care Priestley Cup.

Saturday’s game will be a good test of the progress they have made as Gomersal are the only other unbeaten team and head the table by six points.

Gomersal, who were rele- gated last season, are keen to bounce straight back to Division One, but this will be their toughest test to date.

Yeadon have been playing with confidence with a number of players chipping in at key times with important contribution.

Ben Elvidge (3-7), Damon Gormley (3-13) and Oliver Halliday (3-18) were the men responsible for bowling Idle out for just 63.

Halliday, who has made a great start to the season, also took 3-36 in the victory over Spen Victoria.

The visitors were bowled out for 154 and Yeadon eased home with skipper Todd (38) and the talismanic Damon Gormley (31) leading the way.
