Olicanian are staging a host of activities as part of their annual cricket festival.

The 11-day event launches next Thursday when their third team take on Follifoot.

There is something plann- ed for all of the club’s teams at their Denton Road ground.

The main attraction is likely to be the senior Twenty/20 competition which will feature Olicanian, Burley, The Jesters and Ilkley on Sunday, August 28.

The club has also organised an under-13’s Twenty/20 competition featuring Horsforth and Guiseley on Tues- day, August 30.

The under-15 side will feature in a Round Robin tournament two days later.

The club’s desire to incorporate all of their teams is demonstrated by the fact that they are also staging an under-11 girls competition on the final day of the festival, Sunday, September 4.

During the festival the club will also be hosting the Aire-Wharfe league’s Ian Chappell Cup final for thirds teams on Sunday, August 28.

Alongside the cricketing action there will also be a host of social events including barbecues and a festival luncheon.
