TONG Park Esholt clinched promotion from the Aire-Wharfe League Division Three in devastating style.

They bowled out Upper Wharfedale for just ten as they romped to a ten-wicket win in a match that lasted just 15 overs.

The chief destroyer was Munir Ali who returned the remarkable figures of 8-8 to take his tally of wickets in all competitions to 74 this season.

Upper Wharfedale’s total wasn’t the lowest in the league’s history. That distinction belongs to Horsforth who made just seven against Knaresborough in 1973.

Eight of the Upper Wharfedale batsmen failed to score and there were only three scoring shots in the entire innings while one of their runs was a wide.

The joint top scorers were Charlie Lawn and Joe Daggett who each hit a four while Kyran Clarke scored one.

Opener Clarke lasted the longest of all the batsmen as he faced 16 balls, while Peter Jeffrey kept out 12 deliveries before finishing 0 not out.

After collapsing to 5-5, Upper Wharfedale moved on to ten before the remaining five wickets fell without any addition to the score. The innings lasted just 9.5 overs.

Tong Park reached their victory target in just 5.1 overs.
