TEENAGE off-spinner Nicky Bulcock produced a stunning 12.4-over spell of 9-63 as Otley maintained their lead in Division One with a convincing win at Collingham.

Jamie Pickering (59) and James Davies (46) top scored in Otley’s 215 but then Bulcock, who had weighed in with a useful 29no, took the game by the scruff of the neck.

The 17-year-old former Menston junior, who broke into the Otley first team this season, rocked the Collingham batting on its heels. He included two wickets in successive balls in his nine-wicket haul as the home side were dismissed for 133, the only wicket to elude him falling to Sam Blake.

Otley remain ten points clear of nearest rivals Beckwithshaw who breathed a huge sigh of relief after beating Ilkley by four runs.

It’s hard to believe that Ilkley are still without a win and in severe danger of relegation when they can push one of the league’s best sides this close. Ibrael Malik (79) and Rory Kroon (48) led the chase of the home side’s 237-8.

Rawdon did the top two an enormous favour with a win over third-placed Kirkstall. Ben Heritage (50) laid the foundation and Kuda Samanderu (80) and Andrew Duckworth (56) put on 136 as Rawdon raced to 267-5.

Kirkstall are good at chasing down high targets but George Myers (4-53) and Duckworth (3-34) saw them bowled out for 219.

With bottom club Follifoot picking up maximum points against North Leeds to put them just six behind Ilkley despite a massive points deduction, it was important for the sides just above the drop zone to step up and they did.

Jamie Davey (61) and Harrison Durkin (45no) put on 88 for the fifth wicket to help Guiseley recover from 80-4 and pass Bilton’s 182-4 with four wickets in hand.

Oliver Gledhill (59) top scored in Steeton’s 221 total and despite the efforts of Richard Brook (54) and 16-year-old Sam Fox (39no), Burley were still 19 runs short of victory at the close.

For the second week in a row Ryan Sharrocks and Mark Gilliver shared a century stand to inspire Division Two leaders Horsforth to victory.

Sharrocks hit 73 and Gilliver (59no) in Horsforth’s 246-5 against third-placed Pool. David Paynter (71) led the response but with Sharrocks (3-39) again prominent, the visitors were restricted to 179-9.

Skipton’s hopes of overhauling the top two took a knock when they were bowled out for 115 in reply to Adel’s 207-7.

Ben Rhydding’s revival continued with a five-wicket win over Tong Park Esholt who set a target of 212-9 in which Ross Todd (51) and Danny Groom (47) led the way.

The home side were struggling at 68-5 when Kervan Christmas (54no) and Red Bolton, who included 13 fours in an unbeaten 90, came together to clinch victory.

Michael O’Flaherty (62) and Paul Quinlan (6-33) were the stars as Harden eased their relegation worries at the expense of bottom club Green Lane.

Thackley remain deep in trouble after defeat at Knaresborough, falling well short of the 217-7 target despite an unbeaten half-century from No8 Paul Naylor.

Addingham beat Bolton Villas in a high-scoring match and climbed above them to second in Division Three behind New Rover.

Johnny Johnson (61), Danny Ellis (93) and Tom Smallwood (55) helped Addingham recover from 24-3 to 307-9 and even though David Bayne (57) and Tony Jones (47) took the fight to the home side, Villas were bowled out for 226.

Julian Thornhill (62) and Chris Coates (39) led Calverley’s response to Old Modernians 213-9 but it was down to last pair Tom Westerman and Tom Simpson, who had earlier taken four wickets each, to see Calverley across the line.

Charlie Parker’s 3-64 spell took him past 50 wickets in all competitions and he also top scored with 47 but it was scant consolation as Menston crashed to a 161-run defeat at New Rover.

Bevan Williams (92) was top scorer in Hall Park’s 232 before Jonathan Postle (5-31) and Denis Rock (3-16) skittled out Olicanian for 103.

Chris Meehan hit a half-century for Silsden but there was no respite for the rock-bottom side who went down by 163 runs to nearest rivals Alwoodley who are now 36 points ahead of them.
