Burley moved into second place in Division One with a comfortable six-wicket win over Kirkstall Educat ional.

Good bowling from Andrew Peel (4-17) and Nick Brook (3-23) restricted Kirkstall to a modest 147.

Burley looked as if they might struggle too when they slipped to 69-4, but an unbroken fifth-wicket stand of 79 between Danny Bryan (50no) and Charlie Davey (42no) enabled Burley to seal victory and move to within eight points of leaders Beckwithshaw who secured a winning draw against Guiseley.

The highlight of the match was a magnificent innings of 143 not from Beckwithshaw’s Farag which included 23 fours and a six.

His runs helped Beckwithshaw to make 268-5 before Guiseley stuttered to 122-8.

Otley registered the day’s biggest score as they made 281-5 as they gained a winning draw against Harden.

Josh Atkinson led the way for the Cross Green side with a fine innings of 102 which included 17 fours.

Atkinson shared a second-wicket stand of 116 with Stewart Smith (44) before putting on 90 for the third wicket with James Davies (61).

Harden made a spirited reply and finised on 207-6 with 53 from Roshan Livera.

Pool were unable to build on their fine win over Otley the previous week as they suffered a disappointing 93-run defeat against champions Collingham.

Things looked to be going their way when Callum Braddock (4-35) and David Amos – who took 2-29 in 15 economical overs – reduced their opponents to 71-7.

Pool’s hopes were dashed as Ryan Sharrocks blasted two sixes and nine fours in a rapid 73 which enabled Collingham to reach 170-9.

Newly-promoted Pool collapsed to 77 all out as Toby Jacklin took 7-20. Last-man Amos top scored with 17.

Ben Rhydding survived a scare before securing a one-wicket win over struggling Follifoot.

Alex Miller (5-28) and Charlie Swallow (3-22) helped bowl out Follifoot for 139.

It looked a straightforward target but Ben Rhydding soon hit problems.

They collapsed to 59-8 before the tail wagged and saw them home.

Robbie Oldham (28no) received staunch support from Miller (29) and Tom Pratt (20no).

Steeton were never on track to overtake Bilton’s 206-5 but managed to come away with two points.

Nasser Jamal produced a 13-over spell of 8-23 to clinch victory for Thackley as Colton’s batsmen became the latest to find it almost impossible to read which way he is going to move the ball.

Following on from his previous week’s 5-5, Jamal has now taken 26 wickets in six Aire-Wharfe League games at an average of 5.04 and looks set to top the 64 victims he claimed in 2011 when Thackley were champions.

This season the aim is to bounce back after the shock of relegation to Division Two. Things didn’t look too bright when Colton bowled them out for 122 but Jamal weaved his magic and Colton collapsed for just 51 in 25.1 overs.

That puts Thackley in fourth place, just behind North Leeds and Adel but 13 points adrift of runaway leaders Knaresborough who inflicted a sixth defeat on rock bottom Calverley.

Opener Naveed Panesar carried his bat through the Calverley innings, hitting a stubborn 38no in their 126. Jonathan Hudson briefly raised hopes when he dismissed the first three Knaresborough batsmen for 54 but the home side then eased to victory.

Mick Scott took 4-26 as Bolton Villas were bowled out for 150, a score made more respectable by a last wicket stand of 61 from Luke Stockhill (44no) and Sam Lawrence (32).

Lawrence then picked up 4-48 but Danny Groom (41) and Ross Todd (30no) clinched victory for Tong Park Esholt by five wickets.

Andrew Wheeler’s 5-42 spell saw Rawdon bowled out for 150 in reply to Ilkley’s 188 in which Alex Bailey hit a half century and John Hughes took 4-51.

A stand of 113 between Michael Abbott (60) and Jake Wray (94) put Green Lane on the way to 206 before Neil Britton included ten maidens in a 15-over spell of 4-8 to skittle out Bardsey for 83.

Horsforth took over top spot in Division Three from Skipton after Mark McEneaney (4-22) and Larry Edwards (4-33) bowled out their rivals for138 in reply to their 195 in which Mark Gilliver and Andy Robinson hit half centuries.

Addingham moved up to third after Johnny Johnson (77) and Rob Ellis(61) starred in their win over Alwoodley while Ed Broadley’s 7-38 spell was the highlight as Olicanian took four points at Illingworth.

Dean Harvey (55), Kyle Smith (41) and recent signing Dylan Duraising- hani (41) were the main contributors to Menston’s 200-6 but it was only enough to earn them two points against Upper Wharfedale.

Nadeem Mohammed (5-25) helped restrict Woodhouse to 98 but Silsden lost three wickets at 53 and four more at 88 to fall just short, while Hall Park became the latest victims of resurgent New Rover despite a half century from William Brown.
