Aire-Wharfe cricketers hoping for good weather
THE Airedale and Wharfedale Senior Cricket League is due to get underway this weekend with fixtures in all division including an expanded Third Teams League on Sunday.
Unlike other neighbouring leagues who have decided to postpone the start of their season due to poor ground conditions the Airedale and Wharfedale League will go ahead as planned.
Fixtures for Saturday are:
Division One - Burley v Adel, Collingham v Green Lane, Guiseley v North Leeds, Otley v Kirkstall Educational, Pool v Bilton, Rawdon v Beckwithshaw.
Division Two - Harden v Knaresborough, New Rover v Steeton, Olicanian v Calverley, Silsden v Bardsey, Tong Park v Colton, Upper Wharfedale v Follifoot.
Division Three - Addingham v Woodhouse, Hall Park v Alwoodley, Horsforth v Ben Rhydding, Ilkley v Skipton, Illingworth v Bolton Villas, Thackley v Menston.
Second Teams: Division One - Adel v Burley, Bilton v Harden, Follifoot v Rawdon, Kirkstall Educational v Otley, North Leeds v Guiseley, Steeton v Collingham.
Division Two - Alwoodley v Hall Park, Beckwithshaw v Horsforth, Calverley v Ilkley, Colton v Tong Park, Green Lane v Illingworth, Knaresborough v Pool.
Divison Three - Bardsey v Silsden, Ben Rhydding v Upper Wharfedale, Bolton Villas v New Rover, Menston v Thackley, Skipton v Olicanians, Woodhouse v Addingham.
Sunday: Third Teams, Conference A - Calverley v Hall Park, Harden v Green Lane, Horsforth v Thackley.
Conference B - Beckwithshaw v Olicanians, Kirkstall Educational v Burley, Ilkley v Bilton.
Conference C - Colton v Otley, Knaresborough v Guiseley, Rawdon v North Leeds.
Inter-Conference - Adel v Steeton.
