Veteran Guiseley athlete Tony Bowman is preparing to take on the world again.
Bowman, 76, is heading for Finland to compete in the World Indoor Masters Champ- ionship at Jyvaskyla from April 3-8.
Tony will be competing in the 60metres flat, 60m hurdles, 200m and 400m in the 75-79 age group.
He said: “I am looking forward to the event because I am at the younger end of my age group and have had some good results recently.”
He goes into the event having recently competed in the Indoor Masters pen- tathlon at Sheffield. the Scottish Masters Champion- ships at Kelvin Hall and the British Masters Indoor Championships at Picketts Lock, London.
At Sheffield he set a new 60m hurdles record of 10.74, while in Glasgow he won the 60m hurdles, 200m and 400m.
He took two titles - the 60m hurdles and 60m flat at the British championships. he clocked 9.11sec for the 60m and was second in the 400m.
