ANDREW Smith gained another podium with a third place finish at the Meridian East Coast 10 Miler, a flat and fast, out and back route, which starts close to the Greenwich Meridian Line.
Smith has been having a strong season at the ten mile distance, but in very warm conditions, he fell short of his sub hour target, crossing the line in one hour and 56 seconds.
Meanwhile, Will Woodhead ran his eighth marathon distance of the year at the Liverpool Rock and Roll Marathon in a time of three hours, 44 minutes and 17 seconds.
Paul Grindley crossed the line in 3.52.11, an improvement of over two minutes on his time at the Manchester Marathon.
