TOM Adams shone on a busy weekend for the Ilkley Harriers, winning his second race in nine days to continue his excellent form.

Adams was victorious in the Keighley BigK 10k on Sunday, coming home in a time of 32.20. He was on slightly more familiar terrain than the previous weekend, when he won the Klassmark Trail Skyrace in Montserrat.

Rob and Chris Cunningham came 29th and 205th respectively in Keighley with times of 41.10 and 51.58, while Jan Jones came 210th in 52.22.

Bingley's Charlie Robinson also had a successful weekend, winning the 5.6k race in 24.39. Dan Henderson finished 96th in 36.05, Ross Henderson 122nd in 37.55 and Ruth Wilkinson 238th in 48.09.

The Dentdale 7 and Dentdale 14 took place on Saturday March 10. The former race saw Anna Nolan from Ilkley finishing in 1.07.44, securing her 43rd position.

The latter contest featured impressive results from Ian Fothergill and Kate Archer. Fothergill came home in ninth position, with a time of 1.29.01, while Archer came first in the F35 category, achieving a 1.39.01.

This year's Haworth Hobble, also on Saturday, offered up extra helpings of water and mud. In the conditions, Ben Sheppard did well to come home in fourth place with a stellar run of 4.42.55.

Paul Carmen secured 23rd with a time of 5.17.00, just two weeks after completing the Transgrancanaria 64km/10,000 ft ultra.

Ilkley's Amanda Parnaby also showed her unique endurance, finishing 313th in 10.55.31 despite the harsh conditions.

Further afield, Jack Wood took part in the Edale Skyline fell championship race in Derbyshire. He came an impressive 31st in 3.00.46 in a field containing 391 runners.

Jim Ryder and Will Buckton travelled to the Lakes for the tricky 10.5 mile Muncaster fell race. Jim was fifth and first V50 in 1.49.12 and Will ninth in 1.55.28.

Parkruns on March 10 included a win at Keswick for Helen Thurston with a time of 20.41. Alex Hirst completed the Cardiff course in 17.57

Adela Reperecki and Paula Reynier ran 25.46 and 28.37 in Bradford, while Robert Budding posted a time of 21.45 in Crichton.
