JOHN Beaumont’s President’s Day was the highlight of another busy week at Otley Golf Club.
The wet conditions experienced by the early players improved as the day went on and the majority of the 161 competitors enjoyed the refreshments provided at the halfway house.

The Yorkshire Union Second Division Team Championship was played at Wheatley Golf Club and the Otley team of Craig Bradley, Will Bradley and George Muscroft fell agonisingly just short of a promotion spot to the First
Division Team Championship.
The team finished seventh, two shots behind the final automatic promotion place meaning that the Club will start next year’s campaign in the second division.
Disappointing as this was, the team produced some excellent golf and their 36 hole scores were: Craig Bradley 74 + 78, Will Bradley 77 + 75; George Muscroft 76 + 68 Total=448
