GUISELEY'S Tony Bowman won five gold medals in the 80-85 years' age group and broke a national record at the British Masters Athletics Championships at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium.
The 81-year-old Leeds City member won the 100 metres (16.35sec), 400m(1min 30.12sec), 200m hurdles (41.77sec), long jump (3.12m) and triple jump, and his record came in the hop, skip and jump with 7.42m, bettering the previous best by two centimetres.
He is now preparing for the European Masters Championships in Aarhus, Denmark, from July 27 to August 6.
