ADRIAN Thompson continued his rich vein of form as he followed his runners-up place in the first division of Otley's Saturday Stableford by winning the Mid-Week competition.

He beat Tim Johnson on a countback as both had finished with 41 points.

Judy Howson was the comfortable first division winner in the ladies’ stableford. Her 39 points was three better than Helen Duckett in second place and seven more than any other player throughout the three divisions.

Division One: 1 J Howson 39pts, 2 H Duckett 36pts, 3 J Ettenfield 32pts.

Division Two: 1 P Lee 32pts, 2 A Ridyard 30pts, 3 S Hope 29pts.

Division Three: 1 S Reid 32pts, 2 J Thorpe 32pts, 3 S Haigh 31pts.

Nine Hole competition: 1 P Bradley 19pts, 2 P Joule 16pts, P Coyle 15pts.

A competitive men's Club Am-Am was the first competition of the season to be played from the white tees.

Following wife, Sarah’s third place in the ladies’ competition husband, Adam, made it a good week for the Haigh family by being part of the team that finished in the runners-up berth.
