YEADON'S Louis Ainley, 12, competed at the Yorkshire Swimming Championships over the past three weekends bringing home a haul of trophies and medals.
Ainley, who swims in the Leeds City Swimming Regional performance squad, managed to secure gold medals in the 100m breaststroke and 50m backstroke, silver in the 100 backstroke, bronze in 200m breaststroke and 50m freestyle. He also finished in the top ten in a further four events.
Ainley was also selected to make up a quarter of the 12-year-old relay team, which won gold medals in the 4 x 50m freestyle and 4 x 50m medley at Ponds Forge on Sunday.
Louis who attends Guiseley School, has been swimming as part of the City of Leeds swimming scheme since the age of eight.
