Myrtle Park 1 Otley Tavern 8
OTLEY Tavern made it three wins in three in the Wharfedale Triangle Division One with a crushing victory over Myrtle Park.
Tavern made a lively start and scored within two minutes, when Adam Walwyn back-heeled the ball in after a good work.
The lead was doubled shortly after when Tom Fleming's shot rifled past the keeper at his near post after some good build up play.
Mitch Lambert-Tuthill scored the pick of the goals to make it 3-0 with a delicate little chip from the byline which curled it into the far corner.
Keeper Rich Henry had little to do and there was no surprise when Fleming added a fourth before half-time.
Fleming completed his hat-trick early in the second half before Myrtle pulled a goal back.
Tavern responded straight away with full back Ben Lawton going on a surging run and smashing the ball inside the near post.
A close-range effort from Ben Palmer made it 7-1 and Luke Hartshorn rounded off the scoring for third-placed Tavern
