THE yellow and green of Skyrac AC was out in force once again on Sunday as the second West Yorkshire league event took place at West Park, Leeds.

Despite being the first weekend in November, the weather was warm and conditions underfoot very good with the clubs senior runners made full use of it.

Connor Craig-Jackson took victory in the under-20 men's age group while Alex Pagdin finished a superb fourth, behind three regular Yorkshire county athletes in the under-17 boys race.

Rebecca Cesar de Sa and Emma Inglis both finished inside the top 20 of a large women's field and they were superbly backed up by Kyla McCosh and Eve McGuire.

The senior men had 11 runners taking part in a field of close to 200 and despite the relentless pace of the race, all came back with great times and positions. Chris Dove was the highest placed runner, but every single Skyrac athlete performed superbly.

In the juniors, under-15 girls Amy Francis and Pauline Hall both finished inside the top seven to continue their fine starts to the season, and Lucien Cumming and Joe Sherman again excelled in a packed under-13 boys race to finish in ninth and 13th respectively! The under 13 girls event was a competitive race and Elizabeth Stewart finished a fantastic13th

Fresh off her win in the city of Bradford mile last week, Emily Baxter was the first Skyrac girl home in the under -1s, just ahead of Harriet Beaumont and Ellie Whitaker.
