Addingham's Edward is trials king

Edward Earle on his way to the British title Edward Earle on his way to the British title

Little Edward Earle is making a big impact in the demanding sport of trials riding.

The nine-year-old from Addingham has just been crowned as the Class D British Trials champion.

Edward, who has been riding for three years, dominated the championship riding a Beta Evo 80 bike for the Colin Appleyard junior trials team.

Such was his dominance that the Yeadon-Guiseley Motor Club member won the first five rounds and had clinched the title before the final trial at Tong where he opted to ride a protype electric trials bike and finished third overall.

Now he is hoping to add more titles in future years.
