Otley coach Tom Rock has a welcome problem as his side look to extend their National League Two North winning start to three games at Stockport on Saturday – a selection headache.

Rock has been delighted with the early form of his side and now has players such as Freddie Watson, Michael Coady and Luke Watts trying to force their way in.

The Otley player-coach said: “It is a nice position to be in, and not one we have been used to.

“In the past we haven’t had competition for places, but it is a sign of the progress we are making that we now have tough choices to make about who to play and who to leave out.

“I am not complaining about it, because it is a sign that things are moving in the right direction.

”Otley followed up their opening day win at Dudley Kingwinsford with a comfort-able 45-27 home win over Huddersfield on Saturday.

Rock’s team ran in some thrilling tries, but there were still area of play that require attention.

“The scores came more from individual mis-matches than our structures and we need to work on eliminating some of the careless mistakes.

“I am not getting carried away by our results.

We won the first two games last year and then hit a big slump.

“I know that Stockport will be tough opponents, but we did beat them on the run in last season and I would hope the start we will have will give us the confidence to go and get another good away result.
