7:00am Thursday 12th July 2012 in Sport
Dominic Cork will play for England Legends
Guiseley are gearing up for their star-studded Twenty/20 clash against the England Legends.
Dominic Cork, Devon Malcolm, Neil Fairbrother, Phil Defreitas and Gladstone Small are just some of the Test players who will be playing against the Aire-Wharfe club at Nethermoor on Tuesday, July 31.
The event will raise funds for the club to build new practice nets and money from the game will also go to two charities, the Stroke Association and Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Tickets for the encounter, which will be played at 4pm, are priced £15 for adults and £10 for concessions, and they will be on sale at the club on the next two Saturday.
They can be purchased at the club from 9am to 11.30am and ticket holders will be entitled to enjoy the live musical entertainment which will round off the day between 8 and 9.30pm.
The club is also hosting a corporate lunch with impressionist Kevin Connelly providing the entertainment. Tables of ten can be bought for £800.
Connelly will also entertain the spectators at the match by providing his own commentary to the action.
Club official Roger Waite said: “This is the biggest event the club has ever put on and we hope the weather will be kind and we get a bumper crowd.
“The Legends have named a strong squad which in addition to the Test players includes Dean Headley, Chris Schofield, Alex Tudor, Mal Loye and Paul Nixon.”
