Guiseley manager Steve Kittrick has already begun to rebuild his squad after missing out on promotion to the Blue Square Bet Premier for a second-successive season.

He has moved swiftly to sighn Vauxhall Motors highly-rated England C striker Josh Wilson and Stalbridge defender Rhys Meynell.

To make way for the new signings Kittrick has told last season's player of the year Dave Merris, striker Joe O'Neill and midfieldman Cieran Toner that they will not be offered new conracts.

Former Bradford City striker Danny Forrest and right back Jamie Clarke have agreed to stay at Nethermoor.

Both Wilson and Meynell are 23 years old. Meynell started out at Barnsley and among the clubs he has played for are Gretna Chester, Galway United and Stalybridge.

He is expected to take over from Merris in the left back slot.

Wilson has created a big impression with Vauxhall Motors and is in the England C squad to play Russia next month along with Guiseley skipper Simon Ainge.

Wilson netted 19 times last season and scored 41 goals in 120 games for the Motormen after initially joining them as a midfieldman from Burscough, He also had spells with Northwich Victoria and Leigh Genesis after being released by Stoke City.
