Town lose out to two early strikes

Otley Town 0 Beeston St Anthony’s 2

OTLEY Town found themselves 2-0 down in the first ten minutes when they faced West Yorkshire League Premier Division leaders Beeston St Anthony’s at The Old Showfield on Saturday.

Despite this setback and after being in danger of being overrun Town fought back well giving Beeston a hard game.

Town rallied and gained strength as the game went on but just could not get that vital goal back that would have given them a foothold in the game.

On Saturday Town face a derby clash with Pool AFC at The Old Showfield with a 2pm kick-off.

Otley Town Reserves 3 Harold Styans 2

OTLEY Town Reserves went 2-0 in the opening 20 minutes but fought back to win this Harrogate League clash with Harold Styans.

It looked as if the visitors would run away with the game in the first-half but in the second-half the Pool Road side hit back with John Barber netting twice and Adam Stead bagging the other to take them into a lead which they held on to until the final whistle.

On Saturday Town Reserves visit local rivals Burley Trojans in the second round of the Harrogate League Senior Cup, a game which will be refereed by local offcial Tony Brown.
