ON A day where most of the games were affected by the weather, Interlink and Salem Athletic had to bow to the rain in their top-of-the-table clash in Group A of the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League.

Interlink scored 248-5 in a game which was reduced to 36 overs per team, with Irfaan Jamadaar (111no) and Ismail Adam (69) sharing a third-wicket stand of 132.

Yunus Bismillah backed them up with 48, and Salem were 25-3 before a 56-run partnership for the fourth wicket between Mohammad Hamdaan (32) and Mohammed Waqas (53no) revived them.

However, at 117-4 after 19 overs, the heavens opened and there was no more play.

Apperley Bridge beat Cambing, who were dismissed for 119 in just 24 overs, by seven wickets.

Asif Gul top-scored with 40, while Munir Hussain took 4-7 for Bridge, who won in just 16.2 overs, with Tariq Rashid hitting 54 off 41 balls.

Yorkshire Friends beat Girlington by 174 runs after totalling scored 292-7, of which opener Ajmal Faroq Rauf made 56 and Amber Shazad (82) shared a partnership of 102 for the third wicket with Nabeel Nawaz (32).

Rizwan Hameed then scoring a breezy unbeaten 60 from 38 balls.

Girlington were then dismissed for 118, with Majid Zia scoring 45 and Zabeeh Ullah taking 6-39.

Great Horton Church had their game against Bradford Moor YCA brought to an early end by rain.

Church, who lost three wickets for one run to go from 33-0 to 34-3, scored 211-8 off 38 overs, with 14-year-old Saqif Ali (63) and Abrar Hussain (43) contributing in the middle order following opener Adnan Shafique's 34, with Messum Nisar (31no) part of the wagging tail.

Zaffar Mahmood bagged 3-36 for Moor, who were 134-6 off 25.3 overs in reply, with Adnan Amir unbeaten on 41. Shafique followed up his batting performance by taking 4-23, including a hat-trick.

Bradford Gymkhana scored 196-8, with Mohammed Jangir making 57 and Barber Hafeez 52.

Omar's were 97-7 when the elements won the day.

Yorkshire LPS made 187-7 off 34 overs against Hallfield, with skipper and opener Mahul Patel 78 not out.

Hallfield were 4-3 before a fourth-wicket partnership of 143 for the fourth wicket between Imran Masood (99no) and Amir Sultan (55) helped them to 163-4 off just 25.2 overs.

They only needed 25 to win in 12.4 overs when rain intervened.

The top-of-the-table clash in Group B between Denholme Clough and Bradford Moor was also abandoned due to rain.

Denholme Clough scored 138-9 off 36 overs, with Muhammad Asif making an unbeaten half-century as Syed Ahsan Ali Shah took 4-26 for Bradford Moor YSA.

Moor were then 118-5 off 29.5 overs, with Shabaz Khan scoring 42 and Muhammad Asif taking 3-33 to complete a fine all-round performance before the game came to a halt.

There were only two completed games in the section, with Allerton defeating Hallfield by seven wickets.

Hallfield were all out for 99, with Mohammed Saleem (4-43) and Umear Aslam (3-16) taking most of the wickets for Allerton, who replied with 100-3, with Fauzan Ali Shah (45) helping them to victory.

The other decisive result was TABS beating Cambing by five wickets, with the latter al out for just 61 as AB Mughal (4-37) and Palwinder Kumar (3-11) held sway.

TABS then scored 62-5.

Bradford Gymkhana were dismissed for 126 in 30 overs, and Great Horton Church were 95-5 in reply after 28 overs when rain stopped play.

Girlington and Salem Athletic also had to settle for a draw after Salem scored 195-7 off 30 overs, with Wasim Khan's 100 being supported by Mehr Sultan (40).

Adeil Mir (3-27) and Qayum Khan Nasir (3-57) were among the wickets for Girlington, who were 131-7 after 23 overs, with Qayum Khan Nasir making 53 and Shah Faisal taking 4-47.

Bowling Baptists also had a rain-affected draw.

Greenfield scored 271-7 declared after 34 overs, with Iftikhar Ahmed (103) and Hassan Akhtar (70) sharing a fourth-wicket partnership of 133.

Shazaid Yousaf bagged 3-65 for Baptists, who were 106-4 after 32 overs, with Mohammed Bilal on 62 not out before the match was abandoned.

In Group C, the teams in their top-of-the-table clash were also beaten by the weather as Greenfield battled it out with Bradford Indians.

Greenfield scored 184-6 in 34 overs, of which Abdul Dayan Qazi scored 81. Bradford Indians were 94-7 in 27 overs when down came the rain.

Bowling Baptists gained a winning draw against Central YMCA after making 260-2 declared after 28 overs, with openers Javed Bashir (115) and Ammad Shahid (43) putting on 145.

Zahid Hussain was unbeaten on 57, and YMCA were 100-9 after 37 overs when the stumps were pulled.

Yorkshire LPS gained a winning draw against West Bowling.

LPS made 205-9 off 40 overs, with Hiran Patel (56) and Ketan Patel (45) making contributions as Hassan Ali took 5-31.

In reply Bowling scored 182-3 off 40 overs, with Ashley Carter unbeaten on 62 and Tahir Afzal scoring 53.

Meanwhile, rain saved Great Horton Meths from defeat against Allerton.

Allerton were all out for 166 off 31 overs, with Kameron Azami taking 4-42.

Ten-man Meths who 110-8 at the close after 34.1 overs, with Haseeb Khan taking 4-22.
