ENTRIES for this year’s Chevin Chase were filled in just 97 minutes.

Airecentre Pacers opened on-line booking at 5pm on Sunday and all the places were quickly snapped up.

The Boxing Day event, which has been strongly supported by triathlon stars Alistair and Jonny Brownlee in recent years, continues to be a big attraction to runners from across the country.

Pacers runner Cathy Stothers gained a category second place in the Helwith Duathlon in 2hr 50min 23sec.

The four-mile run and 23-mile bike ride sets off from the Helwith Bridge Inn and takes in a circuit of Yorkshire moorland close to Pen-y-Ghent.

Also competing were an ACP / Baildon Runners team led by Catherine Tindall 2.51.15, Nicky Dewhirst 2.53.32 and Paul Grindley 3.04.44.

In the Northern Jumble off road Half Marathon, Gavin Birkett recorded 1.56.42 and in the 10k event, Susan Hulme 1.05.24 PB, Bernadette Murby 1.05.27 PB, Jenna Hawkswell 1.07.04 and Natalie Clarkson 1.07.22.
