FORMER Otley player Paul Hill has been ruled out of England's two-Test tour to Argentina next month due to injury.

Former Prince Henry's Grammar School pupil Hill, who played 19 times for the Cross Greeners while on loan from Yorkshire Carnegie, has an ongoing neck injury and will remain with Northampton Saints for his rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, Dan Temm – another Otley favourite – has joined Greene King IPA Championship play-off semi-finalists Ealing Trailfinders from Newcastle Falcons.

Temm, who was 26 last Saturday, will thus be reunited with former Otley winger Curtis Wilson.

The Kiwi has been with the Geordies for the past three seasons, playing 22 times and scoring two tries.

He also captained their sevens team, and his form there caught the eye of the England sevens selectors and he has played for England on the HSBC World 7s Series.

"I've joined Ealing Trailfinders to become part of an exciting top-three club," Temm said.

"I know the club has big ambitions and I want to be a part of that.

"I'm looking forward to building on the hard work the boys have put in this year.

"The club have made some great signings and I'm excited to see how we come together as a group and a club to have a big season."

Temm originally moved to the UK from to play cricket, but began playing rugby for Old Crossleyans.

After two seasons there, he moved to Otley in National League Two North, and while playing there was spotted by the Falcons.

"Dan is a player I have followed ever since he made a big impression while playing on loan for Tynedale against us," said Ealing Trailfinders director of rugby Ben Ward.

"His career has gone from strength to strength and he has made a good number of appearances for Newcastle Falcons.

"He will add even more competition to what is becoming a very competitive back-row area.

"His speed over the ground and his ability to pick a line will be a big asset to us, as well as his defensive work.

"He had interest from a number of other clubs but I'm delighted he chose us as the best option to continue his career."
