AIRIENTEERS won gold and silver medals at the British Championships this weekend.
Pride of place went to the girls relay team which won the W18 relay against a competitive field.
Team members Laura King and Lucy Haines of Ilkley led throughout to secure a convincing success.
In the long distance individual event on Saturday, Ilkley runners won three silver medals.
Lucy came second in the W18E class, Peter Haines was similarly placed in the M60 and Tony Thornley gained his silver in the M65 group.
The races, held in South Lakeland - the best orienteering terrain in England - demanded a high level of skill.
Airienteers are running a special series events for juniors aged 7-14 who would like to try orienteering.
The next event is at Danefield on Otley Chevin on Tuesday, May 16 from 4-5pm. You can turn up on the day. Check out the details at www.aire.org.uk
