STRIKER Jake Cassidy has become the second Guiseley player to sign a contract extension until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old has scored five goals in 16 appearance for the Lions after joining the National League outfit in October.
The announcement of Cassidy's decision to commit to the Lions for the rest of the campaign as they bid to avoid relegation, comes 48 hours after former Leeds United midfielder Simon Walton agreed his deal.
Cassidy is the partner of Walton's sister Sophie, herself a former player with Leeds United, Notts County and England.
A Welshman, Cassidy started his career as a 16 year-old with Llandudno Junction and made a great impression netting 28 goals in 32 games in the 2009-10 season.
This brought him to the notice of a number of clubs and earned him a move to Airbus UK Broughton.
However, his stay there was very short as he impressed in pre-season games and immediately moved on to Wolves.
The Premier League side gave him a two-year-deal and he went on loan at Tranmere Rovers, Notts County and Southend before signing for Oldham Athletic in 2015.
