Wharfedale Triangle League Cup Final: Yeadon Vets 4 Crossflatts Village 1

YEADON Vets came from a goal behind to complete the treble on Sunday morning with a hard-fought win over league rivals Crossflatts Village at Otley.

Village took the lead on 12 minutes when Stephen Schofield put his brother Colin through and he made no mistake.

Vets upped the tempo and deservedly equalised before half-time.

Yeadon then took over in the second half and scored three unanswered goals as Village tired, the win sealing the treble for the Vets.

Josh Harris (2) and Toby Harris (2) were on target for Yeadon.

The club had already won the league and the Leeds District cup in recent weeks.

It was a disappointing end to the season for Crossflatts but they must see it as a successful season overall after not having a team in the 2014/2015 season.

Stevie George's side came third in the league and won the Keighley District FA Sunday Cup and will look to build on their success next season.
