GUISELEY have home advantage as they host neighbours FC Halifax Town in their FA Cup derby replay tonight – with another home tie awaiting the winners.

The National League rivals drew 2-2 at The Shay on Saturday as the Lions showed grit and determination to recover from a 2-0 half-time deficit.

The Shaymen took an early lead through Sam Walker and Kingsley James doubled the advantage just before the interval.

It took Guiseley a while to get back into the tie and when Tom Craddock was brought on from the bench, they had three strikers on the pitch.

Lions boss Mark Bower's brave gamble paid off and it was one of that trio, Adam Boyes, who grabbed both of his side's late goals that booked the replay.

Whichever side emerges winners from this rematch now knows they will host League Two outfit Wycombe Wanderers in the first round following last night's draw at Thackley, whose junior section were chosen to be the hosts.

The BBC and FA are taking the draws for this season's competition around the country and wanted a community club in Bradford following the Bantams' giant-killing exploits last term on their way to the quarter-finals.

Guiseley's players all came through Saturday's clash unscathed so Bower has only the suspended Gavin Rothery and on-loan Barnsley midfielder George Maris missing, with his parent club not wanting him cup-tied.

Shaymen boss Darren Kelly also has no new injury or suspension concerns, with Richard Peniket remaining the only long-term absentee, but Kieran Sadlier is ineligible.

Elsewhere tonight, Thackley's senior team will be in good heart as they make the short journey to Garforth Town for a Toolstation Northern Counties East League clash.

The Dennyboys climbed further towards mid-table Premier Division safety at the weekend with a 4-2 home win over Athersley Recreation, with Andy Wood bagging a brace while Mike Garrod and Joe Keen were also on target.

The hosts will also be in good spirits as they sit in eighth position after a 2-0 home win against Staveley MW.
