GUISELEY have signed Jake Charles, grandson of the legendary John Charles, on a one-month loan from Huddersfield Town.

The 19-year-old, who can feature out wide or up front, made his first-team debut for the Championship side in March and has also represented Wales at youth level.

Highly rated by Terriers manager Chris Powell and his staff, Charles joins fellow new boys Adam Lockwood, Will Hatfield and Tom Craddock as the Lions head into their inaugural Vanarama National League season.

"Jake is a really exciting prospect who I'm delighted to welcome on board," said Guiseley manager Mark Bower.

"I know Chris thinks a lot of him at Huddersfield and we're sure he'll add extra quality and strength in depth as we look to establish ourselves."

Versatile defender Jordan Hendrie has also signed terms ahead of the new season, having featured in the club's promotion-winning squad last term.
