YARNBURY 3rds ran in 18 tries as they simply overpowered Roundhegians 2nds to win 112-0 at Brownberrie Lane.
Roundhegians had arrived with only 14 men so Yarnbury loaned them a player and the replacements were shared.
It took Yarnbury seven minutes to open their account when Ethan Perkins scored the first try of the afternoon.
Further tries by Sam Cooper (2), Dom Goldthorpe, Dave Manfreddi, Chris Wray and the try-machine Eddie Child, established a 41-0 leadat half-time.
The second half continued in much the same way with Richard Longstaff, Manfreddi, Dave Jones, Luke Cowley and dad Andy Cowley scoring one try each, while Bill Child, Cooper and Tom Woodley completed hat-tricks. Woodley kicked six conversions and Jones landed five.
Yarnbury are now unbeaten in 13 games, which will be tested next against Harrogate 3rds, who beat Yarnbury 2nds on Saturday.
Old Oliensians 2nd XV had no scheduled fixture so they joined forces with Otley Viscounts to play Yarnbury 4ths.
In an entertaining game played in a good spirit, the combined ‘Ensians/Viscounts team came out on top 25-10 with tries from Paddy Phipps, Duncan Setterington and Matt Tenniswood, who also added a conversion and a penalty.
Yarnbury Senior Colts were up against a big Moortown Colts outfit in this National Cup first-round tie at Brownberrie Lane and were under the cosh in the scrums but came through 19-15.
Moortown scored three first-half tries to lead 15-0 before Yarnbury hit back to win, with winger Eddie Child scoring two tries and Tom Woodley one.
