Ilkley swimmer Sian Morgan has been selected to compete at her second Commonwealth Games.

She has been included in a 23-strong Wales squad to compete at Glasgow next month.

Sian, who is currently studying chemistry at Edinburgh University, will be swimming in the 4x100m freestyle team and 4x100m medley team events.

Four years ago she was one of the youngest members of the team that competed in New Delhi, India.

The former City of Bradford swimmer has continued to combine her competitive swimming alongside her studies.

She will be hoping her greater experience of top competition will enable her to do well in Glasgow.

She will certainly be hoping she doesn’t suffer the disappointment she endure in India when she was disqualified in her first race.
