Scott Thwaites crashed out of his first World Tour race for Team NetApp Endura.

The Burley-in-Wharfedale cyclist had to have stitches in a cut to his arm after falling in the Gent Wevelgem race in Belgium on Sunday.

Thwaites wrote on Twitter: " Disappointed to crash out of my first World Tour race. I'll live to fight another day."
