Otley Rovers 0 Pool 3
Pool scored three times in the second half to book their place in this season’s final of the Wharfedale & District FA Challenge Cup against holders Ilkley Town.
A tricky pitch and a strong wind resulted in a scrappy match which prevented both teams from showing their best form.
Chances were few in the first half, the best going to Rovers when they struck the bar.
The Otley side must have realised it wasn’t their day when Pool took the league fortuitously early in the second half.
An intended cross was caught in the wind causing a luckless Rovers defender to head into his own net from right under the crossbar.
Once ahead, Pool started to dominate and further goals from Matthew Doran and Neil Ebdon sealed their victory.
