Guiseley 2 Altrincham 2
Gavin Rothery's last- gasp goal enabled Guiseley to extend their unbeaten run to 14 games at Nethermoor today.

Rothery scored with a left-foot shot after goalkeeper Steve Drench launched a 93rd minute free kick in to the crowded Altrincham penalty area.

There was barely time for Altrincham to kick off before Guiseley's injury-hit team were able to celebrate a hard-earned Skrill North point.

The Lions, who were without defender Adam Lockwood, influential midfielders Danny Boshell and Jack Rea, plus striker Danny Forrest, showed great character.

They started well and took the lead after eight minutes when striker Alex Johnson headed home from Wayne Brooksby's corner.

Altrincham, who were the last team to defeat the Lions, levelled when their powerful defender Gianluca Havern headed home a 19th minute corner.

Former Nethermoor favourite James Walshaw, who scored a hat-trick when his team defeated Guiseley 4-1 earlier in the season, was withdrawn midway through the second half to be replaced by Damian Reeves.

The substitute soon made his presence felt and after having a shot well saved by Drench, he flicked a Sean Densmore cross into the path of Carl Rodgers who fired home after 68 minutes.

Guiseley replaced debut-making striker Luke Parkin who is on loan from Leeds United and midfieldman Michael Potts with Craig Hobson and Louie Swaine.

Just when it looked as if Guiseley's unbeaten run was about to end up popped Rothery to send the Nethermoor faithful home happy.
