There was no varsity joy at Twickenham today for Old Grovian Jack Baker.
The first former Woodhouse Grove pupil to play for Cambridge University was on the wrong end of a 33-15 scoreline against Oxford University, who had scrum half Sam Egerton dismissed for interfering with a Cambridge player’s face at the base of a ruck.
He was the first man to be sent off in the fixture’s history, and this was the 132nd meeting.
