Graham Wolfenden’s outstanding season with the bat has seen him named as Otley’s player of the year.
The opening batsman topped 1,000 runs as Otley won the Aire-Wharfe Second Teams Division One title.
His impressive haul of runs included five centuries and he received the deserved accolade at the club’s recent annual dinner at Otley Golf Club.
Veteren player Keith Pullan was awarded the trophy as clubman of the year.
President Michael Rhodes, said that amongst many highlights in a successful season the main one had been when 15-year old Nicky Bulcock had batted for 38 overs at Ilkley to secure the vital point that clinched the second team league championship.
Rhodes was presented with an engraved decanter by senior member Barrie Crighton in recognition of having served as club president for 20 years, The batting and bowling averages winners were Stewart Smith, James Davies, Graeme Wolfenden, Mick Gray and Nicky Bulcock.
Davies also received a mounted ball with which he took all ten wickets against Bilton.
