Cookridge's James Dabill Brown-ed off after losing British title decider

Cookridge’s James Dabill was pipped in his bid to retain his British trials title.
Scarborough's Michael Brown beat him in the the final event of the series at Fell Green, Bootle, on Sunday.
The rules on the championship declare that if riders are equal on championship points at the end of the season the final event winner takes the title.
Brown did just that leaving the Cookridge Beta rider to hold off Rosedale’s Ian Austermuhle, winner of the West Leeds club's national White Rose trial the previous weekend.
The Yeadon-Guiseley Motor Club stage the penultimate round of the Luscombe Suzuki Leeds British Sidecar Championship at Dob Park on Sunday where series sponsor Robin Luscombe will aim for victory over Rupert and Chris Kimber.
Further north at Marske the penultimate event in the Auto Cycle Union British Ladies and Girls Championship has attracted the highest entry this season with 36 contenders.
Silsden sisters Danielle and Gabby Whitham are in the quality field.
