The home side started the stronger taking the lead with a long-distance shot which flew into the net giving Pool’s keeper Michael Tosney no chance.

Pool fought back well, equalising when Ripon failed to clear a corner, blocking shots twice before Temilade Ajimoko found the gap to score.

Ripon regained the lead in the second half, a superb move and finish which could only be applauded by the visitors.

Pool were not finished with, and it was no more than they deserved when Neil Ebdon’s long-range effort found the top corner to give Pool a vital point.

The reserves returned to winning ways in their quest fot promotion from the West Yorkshire League Alliance Division Two at the first attempt as they beate Gar- forth Rangers Reserves 3-1 with goals by Michael Jordan, Chris Graham, and Kake Cole- man doing the damage.
