TV weather girl opens Guiseley go-kart track
Debbie Lindley gets ready for her go-kart.
Debbie Lindley gets ready for her go-kart.

Celebrity Debbie Lindley took a spin on a go-kart to help launch a new centre in Guiseley.

Debbie, known for her role as a weather girl, threw caution to the wind and tried out a kart when she opened the Chequered Flag at a converted mill.

A spokeswoman for Chequered Flag said: "The party was great. We had a really good turn out. Debbie Lindley was lovely - she really enjoyed having a go on the go karts. She pretty much screamed all the way around the track!"

The new centre, at the former Wendy Wools, is being billed as 'Britain's newest and most exciting go-karting company'.

The arena is intended for ten karts at a time, which will be powered by Honda engines.

The new company has been formed thanks to a partnership between karting enthusiasts Graham Jackson and Chris Shaw and the mill's owner Austen Ramsden.
