No change as defending councillors are returned

There was no change to the polictical map of Wharfedale and Aireborough after the Leeds City Council elections.
All five wards were won by the retiring councillor with the Conservatives retaining three seats and the Liberal Democrats two.
In Otley and Yeadon the veteran Liberal Democrat Dr Graham Kirkland was returned with an 812 majority. He polled 2,961 votes and second place went to Conservative Ken Creek with 2,139. Labour's John Eveleigh, a former leader of Otley Town Council, was third with 1,716.
The second Liberal Democrat to retain his seat was former Leeds City Mayor Chris Townsley in Horsforth. He collected 3,321 votes to see off the challenge of Conservative Richard Hardcastle by a 575 vote margin.
Long-serving Conservative Graham Latty comfortable retained Guiseley and Rawdon. He pooled 3,456 votes which gave him a majority of 1,792 over Labour's Mike King.
Barry Anderson had a 2,020 majority as he was returned for the Coinservatives in Adel and Wharfedale. Liberal Democrat Christine Shaw was second with 2,020 votes.
The biggest majority in the five local wards came from Conservative Ann Castle in Harewood. She topped the poll with 4,940 votes and had a 2,830 majority over the Green Party candidate Patricia Capstick.
